Ana Luiza Nery

She holds a Postdoctoral degree in Civil Procedural Law from the University of Lisbon, in Portugal.

She earned her PhD and Master’s degree in Diffuse and Collective Rights from the Pontifical Catholic University of São Paulo (PUC/SP).

She was a visiting scholar at Columbia University in New York during the 2012 academic year.

She earned her Law degree from Fundação Armando Álvares Penteado (FAAP).

She is a guest professor in both lato sensu and stricto sensu postgraduate programs at the Pontifical Catholic University of São Paulo (PUC/SP).

She serves as an arbitrator and is listed with several arbitration centers, including the Center for Arbitration and Mediation of the Brazil-Canada Chamber of Commerce (CAM-CCBC), the Market Arbitration Chamber (B3 – formerly BMF&BOVESPA), the Brazilian Center for Mediation and Arbitration (CBMA), the Business Mediation and Arbitration Chamber of Brazil (CAMARB), the Mediation and Arbitration Center of Amcham Brasil (AMCHAM), the Business Mediation and Arbitration Chamber of the São Paulo Commercial Association (CEMAAC), the Mediation and Arbitration Chamber of the Paraná Commercial Association (ARBITAC), and the Specialized Mediation and Arbitration Chamber (CAMES).

She is a trained mediator from Fundação Getulio Vargas (FGV/SP), has conflict mediation training from the Harvard Law School Negotiation Program in Boston, and a background in psychoanalysis from the Center for Psychoanalytic Studies (CEP/SP). She is also listed as a mediator with CAM-CCBC.

She is the author of the books: “General Theory of the Conduct Adjustment Term” (third edition), “Collective Arbitration”, and “Civil Law Manual – Contracts”, all published by Revista dos Tribunais/Thomson Reuters. She has also published numerous legal articles in specialized journals.

She is the Cultural Director and Vice President of the Women’s Rights Studies Commission of the São Paulo Lawyers Institute (IASP).

She is also a psychoanalyst certified by the Center for Psychoanalytic Studies (CEP/SP).
